Good morning all!
Have you filled out the surveys sent through Backerkit for your 77 Stories pledge? If so, your book(s) will be shipping this week! If not, dig through that junk/spam folder and find the survey invite and get on it. There's still about 30 of you who haven't filled it out.
As you start to receive your books, don't forget to shake the envelope out for your Kickstarter exclusive Division 8 coin. There was no fancy way of sealing them in the shipping envelopes so they're just loose in there. Don't toss 'em out with the trash!

For anyone not already there, the NewEdo Discord just keeps getting better. First off, it's an amazing community of supportive and helpful people (I assume they're all people...). It's a positive and inclusive space and a great place to float your questions or game concepts. Discord is also where you'll find most of our support resources, including homebrew content, additional play assets (like alternate character sheets), VTT links and content, and of course, memes. Online one-shots are regularly scheduled, and there's even a full campaign gearing up for online play - and I think there's still a few spots open on the roster! Come say hi if you haven't already, and help make this lively community even better. My heartfelt thanks and love to the core group of players who keep the server alive, organized, and friendly - you guys friggin rock.

Missing PDFs
Hi folks, just a quick one - it seems that there's a good chunk of backers who missed the email back in April for the download coupons for the 77 and core NewEdo books. Rather than address these individually, please give me a couple of days to aggregate survey responses and send out a whole batch again.
The email will have come from salty 'at' salty-games.com but the download link is expired now anyway. Please do keep an eye on your inbox and junk over the next few days for another download link.
As a reminder, both the 77 and core book downloads will be via a $1 purchase through DTRPG. This was discussed in depth during the campaign and in various comments and updates since then so hopefully it isn't a surprise now. Pledge levels were priced to consider the extra buck going to DTRPG. Thanks for humouring my attempt to game their medal tier system!

Ahoy NewEdo fam!
5% of you (chosen at random by the Kami of Fate...and Backerkit) will be receiving your surveys, like, now. Note that those are coming from Backerkit not Kickstarter, so watch your inbox and junk.
A few things about the survey process (both smoke and regular). The first questions will check whether you've received your digital copies of the files you backed. If you have, great! Clicking "No" won't get you any free stuff, just FYI haha. If you haven't received your files, I'll re-send the digital download codes for DTRPG after I get your surveys back.
For those of you who've ordered physical products, you'll have to pay for shipping now. I'm happy to report that shipping rates are generally in line with what was indicated in the campaign last fall. Australia and the "rest of the world" (outside NA and Europe) are, as always, screwed for shipping. I apologize, but even at the rates I've indicated in the surveys, I'm losing money shipping down under. Everything is being shipped by hand by me, meaning there's personal touches on the packages that will be gone once these products go to PoD. And of course, you're all (...all backers who ordered physical goods) getting a copy of the Division 8 coin that was a Kickstarter campaign exclusive. I hope the quality control and extras somewhat make up for the expensive shipping.

I know most of you don't know me personally, but I feel like I gotta share this: my wife and I have been working on a small business plan for about three years, and it went live this summer. We're doing charters off a sailboat here in Niagara, Ontario. And yours truly, Salty the Curmudgeon, became a legal officiant so I can marry couples on the deck of our boat. We had the first wedding on board last week and it was pure magic. I ain't no romantic but this was something special, so much so that I'm sharing with you guys, who I know appreciate a touch of the mystical. I hope you don't mind.
Salty on the bow of his boat, marrying some innocent young folks who had never heard that much swearing in their life. They kept a good attitude about it all.
Thanks for your patience waiting for your physical products to ship. I'm glad we got the digital files out as scheduled, and I apologize about the delays with the analogue goods. I mentioned that we ended up going with the more expensive, higher quality printer, right? The difference is worth it, and you won't be disappointed.

Proof Update, Next Steps

Morning everyone!
So I got back the proof from the second printer and it wasn't up to NewEdo quality standards. I'll be going with the original printer despite their increased cost - that order is now in, and delivery of books (to me) is expected for the end of this month or early August.
That means I will be able to start packing your orders in a few weeks. I'll be sending out final surveys soon to confirm your mailing addresses.
Thanks for your patience with this hiccup, and I promise that you'll love the quality (and hopefully content...) of your 77 Stories physical copies!

Quick Update!

Hey folks, someone nudged me in a much-deserved manner - my apologies for the silence in June. Wife and I started a new business and I've been swamped.
But, rest assured, I haven't been ignoring the 77! As mentioned in the last update, my printer increased their price about 60% between the time of our campaign and when I sent the file in for print in late May. That was a kick in the b@lls. I thought at first I would just suck it up, but ended up sourcing a second printer. I ordered my proof from them on June 10 - and looking at the shipping info now, I see that the proof has cleared customs and entered Canada as of July 2. Being adjacent to the border here in Niagara, I hope that means I'll have the book in hand in the next few days.
If this second proof is within 90% of the quality of the first proof (original printer, in hand) I will go with the second printer, whose price more closely matches the original bid (and original pricing structure from the campaign). If the second proof is noticeably subpar, I will eat the difference and go with the original. I hope you understand!
